06.08.13: The Head in the Clouds Pavilion – the City of Dreams Pavilion competition winner – opened on Governor’s Island as a part of FIGMENT NYC 2013. FIGMENT, the AIANY Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA), and the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY), organized the selection, design, and construction of the pavilion.
06.08.13: Jean-Louis Cohen, curator of MoMA’s “Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes,” leads a morning tour of the exhibition prior to the Le Corbusier/New York symposium at the Center for Architecture.

06.06.13: Ken Himmel, President and CEO, Related Urban; Howard Elkus, FAIA, RIBA, LEED AP, Principal, Elkus Manfredi; Mortimer Singer, President and CEO, Marvin Traub; and Peter Grant, Deputy Real Estate Editor, Wall Street Journal, discussed modern placemaking through mixed-use developments during the Center for Architecture’s Hudson Yards Speaker Series.
06.06.13: Judges, designer Dror Benshetrit, critic Paul Goldberger, Hon. AIA, and Laetitia Wolff, executive director of desigNYC, were present at the Iron Designer Challenge. Based on the popular television show “The Iron Chef,” the Iron Designer Challenge raised funds to support the design program of the School of Design and Construction.
