Global design firm Perkins Eastman has announced the promotions of 80 members of its staff this year, including 17 in New York City: Associate Principal Tania Gonzalez, Associate Principal Dan Hartenstine, Associate Principal Sarah Mechling, Associate Principal Manjiri Paprikar, Associate Principal Matthew Seybert, Senior Associate Jesse Cabrera, Senior Associate Yung Eun Kim, Senior Associate Yujin Lee, Senior Associate Russell Scheer, Associate Mikayla Beckwith, Associate Abby Bussel, Associate Caroline Donadio, Associate Varsha Iyengar, Associate Christine Jimenez, Associate Mingxi Li, Associate Laura Schmaeler, and Associate Lina Wang.
Christin Weaver has been inaugurated as President of the IIDA New York Chapter for 2024-2025. Weaver, also a Senior Interior Designer at Ted Moudis Associates, aims to support emerging professionals, enhance member engagement, and oversee a website redesign.
TPG Architecture has promoted Christina Faley, WELL AP, to Retail Studio Director. Since joining in 2016, Faley has become a key asset, contributing to major international retail, hospitality, and workplace projects.

Curtis Moody, FAIA, NOMA, founder of Moody Nolan, the country’s largest African American-owned architecture firm, passed away at the age of 73. Moody founded his firm in 1982 in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, and went on to win countless architecture awards, including the AIA Architecture Award in 2021. David Garrard Lowe, cultural historian and author of Lost Chicago, passed away on September 21 in New York City.
