The Core77 Design Awards 2017 recognized projects by NYC-based firms, including A/D/O by nARCHITECTS and the Museum of the City of New York’s “New York at its Core” exhibition by Studio Joseph, Local Projects, and Pentagram…The American Society of Landscape Architects 2017 honors recipients include NYC-based Jannette Sadik-Khan, former Commissioner of the NYC Department of Transportation (LaGasse Medal – Non-Landscape Professional); the Central Park Conservancy (Medal of Excellence); and Mitchell Silver, Commissioner of the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation (Honorary Member).
The James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation’s 2017 Kress Fellows include NYC-based Mark Rakatansky, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation for “Transformative Histories: Digital Humanities Techniques for Historic Presrvation,” and Frampton Tolbert, Deputy Director at the Center for Urban Pedagogy for “Queens Modern: The Architects.”
