Circular City Week, March 4 – March 10, 2019, is a collaborative festival for events that promote a circular economy. Events and activities, hosted by an array of local and global stakeholders including AIA New York, will take place across New York City. Activities during Circular City Week will emphasize how circular practices such as reuse, recycling, and upcycling are transforming urban industries.
AIANY is proud to participate in the city’s first-ever Circular City Week. On Friday, March 8, from 8:30 – 10:00 AM, the AIANY Committee on the Environment will host “Achieving Circular Material Loops with Gypsum Wall Board.” On Saturday, March 9, the Center for Architecture K-12 Department will host the sold out “Family Day: House 4 House Family Play-shop!,” in collaboration with House 4 House, a team of architects who have developed a building toy made entirely from recyclable materials.
We welcome all interested members and stakeholders to come together as to help drive forward change and bring attention to best practices and innovative initiatives.
