AIANY Program Committees are the foundations from which the chapter positions itself in the field of architecture, whether through discussion, advocacy, policy making and development, or other endeavors. Committees initiate the majority of the chapter’s programs and are the main avenue for direct involvement with AIA New York. Preferred co-chair candidates will have shown strong involvement with the committee, a commitment to the committee’s goals, a clear vision for the future of the committee, and good communication and management skills.

The AIANY Cultural Facilities Committee is a forum for people interested in cultural spaces and how they shape our environment. Through a variety of programming the committee examines ideas related to the design and planning of cultural buildings, as well as their impact on the communities they serve. Applications must include a 250-word maximum letter of interest and CV sent to skaba@aiany.org with the subject line, “AIANY Cultural Facilities Committee Co-Chair Application.”

The AIANY Social Science and Architecture Committee brings together professionals and students from architecture, social science, and other fields to discuss, collaborate, and facilitate programs for the community. Applications must include a 250-word maximum letter of interest and CV sent to skaba@aiany.org with the subject line, “AIANY Social Science and Architecture Committee Co-Chair Application.”
