by: AIA New York
With 2025 well underway, AIA New York is already looking ahead to fill leadership roles for 2026, including newly open positions on the organization’s Board of Directors. The Board manages the business of the Chapter, with each member bringing invaluable knowledge in their area of responsibility. Board members are often sought by other AIA members for their expertise and frequently collaborate with Program Committees. Select Board Officers also serve on the Center for Architecture Board of Trustees and on its Executive Committee. The Board and Committees advise staff of all program and advocacy plans and prepare and approve an annual budget. As such, the ability of the Board members to work and communicate effectively with staff and attend monthly meetings and an annual retreat is key to the success of the Chapter.
