05.26.11: The program PlaNYC Update: Next Steps to a Green, Greater New York offered a detailed description of both the status of Mayor Bloomberg’s PlaNYC and its goals. It will be followed with a series of workshops to examine green growth and transportation/infrastructure strategies.

06.02.11: The exhibition “Eye on Architecture, Photographs from the Archive of Norman McGrath” opened at the Center for Architecture. It features architectural photographs, some dating back to the 1960s, including black-and-white silver prints from the film era, as well as McGrath’s more recent digital-based color work.

05.24.11: The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Whitney Museum’s new building at Washington and Gansevoort Streets, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The 200,000-square-foot space will open to the public in 2015.
