The AIANY Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the AIANY Interior Committee are seeking applications for new co-chairs with the planned departure of their current co-chairs in the Fall.
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee seeks to provoke a dialogue about diversity issues and give agency to issues of inclusion and representation. The committee holds regular meetings and several thought-provoking events, including AIANY’s annual J. Max Bond Lecture.
The Interiors Committee is naturally inclusive, recognizing the wide array of professionals, interests, efforts, and ideas that contribute to interior architecture in New York. The committee welcomes professionals to contribute and encourages members to attend monthly planning meetings and events. The committee organizes annual tours, lectures, and events, including AIANY’s annual Gil Oberfield Lecture.
Interested AIA members can apply by sending a copy of their CV and a 250-word cover letter outlining their interest in the committee, why they feel suited to lead it, and in what direction they hope to take it, to Joseph Corbin, jcorbin@aiany.org. Please specify which committee you are applying to in the subject line. The deadline for applying is Thursday, October 31.
