Open Door Mentor

Mentors participating in the Open Door Mentor program will be invited to panels and roundtables with mentees. Mentors/Firms will also have the opportunity to be featured on the AIA New York website as participants of the program.

Mentors should be prepared to:

• Meet with mentees a minimum of 2x 30-minute virtual mentoring sessions per month.
  • The content of the mentoring sessions will be based on the Mentee Application and topic specific.
• Mentors & Mentees will have the opportunity to schedule a follow up session if more time is needed.
• Mentors are encouraged to participate in the “Program Kick Off” taking place in early 2025.

In connection with the 2024 AIANY presidential theme, Belonging and Beyond, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to connect generations of design professionals to cultivate cross generational connections. By participating in the Open Door Mentor program, you will be part of the inaugural group of mentors to support this initiative.
