A systems service core is threaded through existing slab penetrations to make Harlem Harvest resource-positive—contributing back to the city with food, power, and water. Floating community gardens complement a year-round hydroponic vertical farm. An onsite kindergarten provides sustainable education at an early age while produce-laden ships supply a farmers’ market. With a water taxi stop, Harlem Harvest can support recreational boating and function as a new point for connecting a food-rich countryside with a food-demanding urban environment.
