Purpose/Theme
In alignment with 2024 AIANY President Greg Switzer’s theme of “Belonging and Beyond,” this 14th edition of Speed Presentations calls for project entries that significantly contribute to the well-being of communities and the individuals within them through the transformative power of design.
Projects of all types and scales, whether public or private, are eligible. Examples include, but are not limited to, housing, places of learning, work environments, hospitals, and community centers. Emphasis should be given to the design of interior spaces.
Eligibility
Entries must be submitted by an AIA member who is affiliated with a firm based in New York City. Projects may be located outside of New York, and multiple projects may be submitted. All submitted projects must either be in the planning stages, under construction, or unbuilt.
No fee is required for entry.
Submission Requirements
A complete entry asks applicants to provide the following items:
- Project Description: Provide context for the submitted project(s). How does it engage the theme of “Belonging and Beyond?”
- Presentation: In no more than ten (10) 11×17 pages, provide a PDF consisting of diagrams, drawings, and/or photographs of the submitted project(s). The PDF submission will be used for the final, in-person presentation, so please be sure that it is arranged and formatted for presentation use.
