Ladders for Leaders is a nationally recognized internship program that offers outstanding high school and college students the opportunity to participate in summer internships with leading companies and organizations across New York City. A component of the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development’s Summer Youth Employment Program, Ladders for Leaders brings employers experienced youths who receive pre-employment training as well as wraparound support from the DYCD, increasing the chances of success in workforce building initiatives.
In partnership with AIA New York, Ladders for Leaders wants to help recruit quality interns into prestigious architecture firms. Participants come from a variety of backgrounds, schools, and work experiences including architecture, design, and engineering. The organization, along with its community partners, will ease the time and costs of the recruitment process by doing some of the work for employers. Ladders for Leaders provides assistance throughout the hiring process, from designing the internship, sharing jobs to participants, finding qualified candidates, collecting and referring resumes, coordinating interviews, providing orientation sessions, to onboarding interns. Ladders helps make talent acquisition more efficient!
