The AIANY Committee on the Environment and AIANY Emerging New York Architects Committee are seeking new co-chairs.
The AIANY Committee on the Environment’s (COTE) mission is to support architects in advancing and advocating for thoughtful, regenerative design that creates sustainable, resilient and equitable buildings and communities. COTE serves as AIANY’s sustainable design community, organizing workshops and lectures with design professionals, spearheading advocacy with government and civic organizations, and broadening outreach to the general public.
The AIANY Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA) encourages leadership among emerging architects (licensed 10 years or fewer) and allied professionals in the design and construction industry. The committee engages NYC’s diverse young professional community with an equally diverse slate of programming that focuses on career development, design excellence, and public outreach. Committee meetings are open to the public and are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm, both virtually and in-person at the Center for Architecture, unless otherwise noted.
AIA members interested in serving as co-chair can apply by sending a copy of their CV and a 250-word cover letter outlining their interest in the committee, why they feel suited to lead it, and in what direction they hope to take it, to Joseph Corbin at jcorbin@aiany.org. Please specify “AIANY [insert committee name]” in the subject line. Apply by April 20, 5:00 PM.
