Fabricating PPE
University architecture departments in collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers are using their expertise to assist in a variety of crucial projects. Many schools are using their existing fabrication facilities for the production and assembly of PPE, particularly face masks.
Some of these schools have had trouble accessing materials which include:
- PETG plastic (between 10-20 mil thickness)
- Spools of polylactic acid
If you are able to donate these materials, or other materials you believe would be helpful in the fabrication of face shields, please reach out to archschools@aiany.org and we will help connect you to a team.
