07.27.12: A public lecture and viewing party was held at the Center for Architecture for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics. The event was organized by the AIANY Global Dialogues Committee and led by Committee Co-chairs Bruce E. Fisher, AIA, and Jeffrey A. Kenoff, AIA. The event drew nearly 600 during the course of the night, more than almost any other event we’ve ever had at the Center. The first-half lecture stretched the Center’s audio-visual capabilities with video produced by John Mcintyre, ANZIA, and a Skype call-in, and the high-quality widescreen projection was one of the largest in the City.
