This series of programs aims to educate community development corporations and the general public on how to increase their capacity to respond to City-initiated RFP’s through more innovative practices.
Representatives from the soliciting government agency (NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development) and participating real estate development companies will address the following topics: What type of credits can developers get for affordable sustainable housing? How can community organizations encourage developers and architects to pursue innovative programs and building technologies, understanding the financial benefits? How can architects and community groups help inform developers of the long-term value of building sustainably?
